As a serious collector of photography, I’ve followed the artistic (and erotic) development of BT Charles for quite some time.His work has come to transcend the prurient, taking on a surreal and sometimes whimsical quality. His vision is clearly stated, his compositions are engaging, and the finished images tend to shock, titillate, amuse, and provoke the viewer. They invite many layers of interpretation, ranging from being seen as “smut” to making philosophical statements. I’m proud to have many original photographs by BT Charles in my collection. And to have included his images in several collections I have donated to colleges and university.
